Description

:iconrevoice:

Name: Terah Q. Ngaire
Age: 21
Birthday: December 23rd
Gender: Female
Orientation: Pansexual
Species: Human/Capricorn (Hybrid) Mix

Height: 6'2"* (Sans horns, horns: +1')
Build: Tall and still pretty muscular, though she's gotten a little softer around the edges without as much stress on her shoulders.
Hair Color: Blonde, with a patch of paler blonde over the more depigmented part of her face.
Eye Color: Blue

Title: Shifter
Skill: Shifting: Born with the ability to shift, Terah shifts into a large capricorn; Her constant usage of this skill left her stronger and more confident in using it. However, stress can make shifting a little harder-- Any injuries to her body while shifted transfer over to her normal body. Mana used to shift is used upon shifting/shifting back to her hybrid form, not consistently throughout her time in the shift.

Terah's shift has grown due to natural aging and schooling at Enhalo. A sizing comparison against a 6' tall silhouette can be found here. When shifted, she gains buffs to strength and durability listed on her statsheet.

Minor Skills:
Taming +: After the fight in the flora shrine, Terah's taming has developed new aspects to allow for taming of a wider variety of demons. The liquid generated from her palms has developed a scent that is attractive to demons but unpleasant to humans/hybrids/non demonic creatures, and can redirect the attention of demons nearby (in a ten foot range) to her if they're within her capacity to tame (with or without buffs). Along with the scent, the fluid can be absorbed into the bodies of demons (for taming) or into smaller-than-palm-sized pieces of food (at a high mana cost, to use as calming, attractive bait that Isn't really worth the mana expenditure) due to an unconscious shift in the manner in which the fluid is produced magically, working at a relatively quick pace to calm and subdue the demon she’s up against once its inside of them. This fluid, when applied topically to the body of a demon, works like a fast evaporating oil-- Though it can permeate surfaces that would otherwise not absorb oils, such as metals/stone/glass/etc. Terah still needs to have demons make voluntary contact with her palm once they're fully tamed to complete the action, but is no longer as limited in what she's able to tame due to the change of her methods.

Attempting to tame produces liquid similar to what she used to tame with before (with a minor aesthetic change in that it has a faint golden sheen to it) that proceeds to cover both of her hands like gloves, up to her elbows. This is a bit messy, but allows for wide application of the liquid upon contact-- Further practice with controlling her output allows her to focus on and cup the fluid in her hands much like she did before for her taming, but the liquid is able to be absorbed topically, as well as being ingested.

When the fluid settles over her hands and forearms, she can press her coated extremedies onto the demons body and effectively force the liquid into them-- Maintaining consistent contact so long as the majority of the fluid from her palms and the undersides of her forearms has gotten onto the demon is not necessary, as the fluid wants to be absorbed, but will not be enough to complete a tame on its own. Certain demons made of difficult types of material to absorb through (stone/metal/etc) will take longer and be less easy to tame. [A rough table for how long tames take without this debuff is 1 round ic per taming point; EG: 1 Bullet; Red = 1 rounds, etc, etc. Stone/metal/etc based demons = +1 rounds on top of the demons initial taming level This table applies to both her consumption and topical taming methods.]

Meladis: Terah's Meladis, after training at Enhalo, has become much stronger-- Visually, it's a much thicker, brighter golden 'smoke' than before that flows from her mouth and toward the demon she's targeting at a moderate rate. When in use, this ability can either directly attack a demon via contact based combustion (which requires more focus/mana on Terah's end but can potentially burn/blind enemies if timed correctly; These burns are very very light and sting more than cause permanent damage, and the 'blinding' lasts for one turn.) or absorb momentum/force from a demon's attack if they move through a larger patch of her 'smoke' in the process of striking, causing them to feel as if they're moving through a thick liquid and slow down by 1 :bulletred: point of speed, if they are at or above a speed stat of 3 points.

Play the Scales [Summoning]: Earned after the end of the Trial of the Music Shrine, Terah now finds herself capable of summoning creatures to which she is strongly bonded. In order to add a creature to her summoning pool, she must ask them-- In so many words, the request doesn't necessarily have to be verbal and can sometimes be unintentionally made-- To agree to remain by her side for as long as they can/wish to. The creature can, of course, refuse, and most unintentional requests are refused due to lack of bonding between herself and them. Creatures becoming summons must have been in Terah's care for roughly a month or more in order to be viable candidates.

If a creature agrees to remaining by her side (verbally or nonverbally), they're added to her summoning pool when both parties make physical contact with one another and are essentially made to be as close to her as physically possible as they're desummoned for the first time-- Visually represented on her body as a streak/patch of iridescent scales in one or more colors that coordinate with the creature themselves. Damage to the scales does not reflect on the creature or hamper their ability to be summoned. As a result of being essentially contained within/on Terah at all times, summons added to her pool will sometimes take on appearance traits similar to Terah's as they spend more time on her.

In order to summon a creature, Terah must make contact with the scale patch that represents them with her fingertips and 'play' them in much the same manner as someone might play out a tune on a tabletop before swiping downward to 'throw' the scales to the ground and call the creature out. Desummoning is about the same, but instead of swiping downward she swipes upward-- Calling them back to her. When her pool becomes more filled out, there's a limit to how many summons she can have out at one time that correlates with their size; Larger summons (large pet/above) can come only 2 at a time, and smaller summons can come 3 at a time.

Having worked on this ability almost as soon as she became aware of it, Terah continued to practice with her summoning up until her graduation. She continued the training she was taking part in, even afterward, on her own, and has likely (by now) unlocked her second and third slots through continued focus.

Current Pool:
       - Key [Stats + Appearance]. Representative scales are on her jawline, matching his mask in color.
       - [EMPTY [Unlocked, due to practice and training] - x]
       - [EMPTY [Unlocked, due to practice and training] - x]

Immortality - As the Demigod of Heart, Terah has been granted immortality; No longer able to die of old age/illness. Though still able to be wounded and injured as normal, too much strain or damage on Terah's part (to the point of her being near death) will leave her incapacitated, but not dead. In this state, she involuntarily poofs into a tiny baby capricorn; aware/conscious and able to move, but incapable of combat / incapable of being destroyed / incapable of communicating. The time she spends in this form depends on the extent of the damage to her body, ranging from a few hours to a day, at most; Her recovery process is very visual, as one can watch the baby goat grow to her normal size, as represented in her shifting skill above, over the span of time it takes her to recover. When fully 'grown', she's able to shift back to her hybrid form, and can continue on as normal. Beforehand, though, until the full time limit has passed, she is unable to shift back and unable to attack things.

Mana Distribution - As the Demigod of Heart, Terah serves as the means by which mana is distributed to her domain-- Namely, that of the 'Heart' -- Emotions and feelings. This ability allows her to channel mana through herself and into her domain, and has a very faint empathetic effect between herself and those around her in a very small two foot radius; In that she can feel vague emotions from those around her and allows them to feel her own, just as vaguely, at the same time.

Weapon: Shifting + Taming, Shortsword
Weapon Type: Close range/Physical (Shifting & Taming), Short range (Sword)
Combat Style:  She shifts right off the bat, and will typically fight like that unless the enemy is too much to handle on her own. If that happens to be the case, and she isn't fighting with others capable of combat, she uses a tamed familiar if she has one present with her. In low pressure fights or situations where her mana is low, she may use the sword.

Guild: N/A
Status: Citizen
Occupation: Demigod of Heart

Likes: Animals/demons, Water, Singing, (eating) Food, Music
Dislikes: Loud noises, (cooking) Food, Short doorways.
Hobbies: Writing, Singing, Swimming.
Personality: Loyal | Stubborn | Sweet | Emotional | Blunt | Patient | Proud | Kind
Home Region: Earth, then Garnet
Current setting: Ruby, though she travels somewhat frequently.

History: Born to Adelina and Cronus Ngaire on Earth, Terah was raised in luxury befitting the daughter of a decently well off child-of-a-CEO. Well loved by Adelina's coworkers at work and close family friends, Terah had every opportunity to succeed-- Which came at the price of experiencing severe harassment during her childhood that couldn't be resolved through financial means from her less than hybrid friendly peers. At the age of seven, her and her family made the final decision to (almost completely, save for Adelina's work responsibilities) move to Garnet permanently-- Taking over land and a home previously owned by Cronus' distant family that he had inherited months before.

Over the years, Terah did the best that she could with her circumstances. The harassment never really stopped, but she chose to distract herself with learning how to improve herself. Given the barest instruction as to how to use her Meladis by her mother and far more in depth training with her father as to how to tame and shapeshift, Terah came into her sixteenth year of age desperately chasing perfection that she felt could, finally, rid her of the shame that had built up inside of her as she grew in regard to her mixed species status. Hungry for acceptance, she sought out enrollment at Enhalo-- and came out better for it.

As a student of Enhalo, Terah spent most of her years trying and succeeding to maintain a level of excellence enough to catch the attention of the Divines, while also seeking genuine connections with others and improving upon her existing skills (and, in later years, adjusting to drastically changed or new skills entirely). Promoted early on, she took on the challenges presented uniquely to the Demigod and Common program students of Enhalo in stride, and eventually came out of schooling having assisted in all currently recorded shrine investigations-- Along with the defeat of the masked figures Owl and Mink, and the capture of the Godlet, Mischief, on Earth.

As a result, Terah was selected to become the Demigod of Heart some time later. She has been in Ruby, learning how to properly harness the power needed to do her job properly, ever since-- While making her shrine a home. Choosing to share her shrine with former roommate, teammate, enhalo graduate, and good friend, Quill-Hazel, Terah only seems interested in one thing, now-- Making sure she can live this life to the fullest, and improve Magus to the best of her ability.

Overview: Terah sought to improve herself, at first, out of a need to prove detractors wrong. Though a genuinely kind and well meaning person, she didn't always only want to be better for the sake of others-- Fueled by a more selfish desire, spite carried her through her early years and often made her act the part, even if she didn't feel particularly invested. Now, having devoted years of her life to becoming someone capable of being a kind and empathetic leader, Terah only wants to continue to be worthy of the trust and love her peers, friends, and family have put in her. Being a demigod is fucking terrifying, but it's far beyond what she ever imagined was possible for her-- And she's willing to put her all into making sure she remains someone that the whole of Magus itself can count on.

Miscellaneous:
Bullet; Green Seeing as she's so tall (and her horns don't help, in this case), she's cautious about entering buildings with low ceilings.
Bullet; Green She's a *fairly* deep sleeper, as her home was always loud and boisterous and she got used to a lot of noise/movement in her house at all times of day.
Bullet; Blue She enjoys being held and holding things when she sleeps. Cuddling and contact in general is a good thing for her.
Bullet; Blue She has vitiligo, a chronic skin disease characterized by depigmentation of the skin. It has continued to progress further, and in the time since leaving Enhalo has started to affect her hair and small portions of her scales.
Bullet; Green In addition, she has scales covering parts of her body, and fins on her forearms and legs. The scales have slowly stopped appearing on her person upon hitting her twenties, but sometimes get scraped away and regrown in the patches that they've already been present on.
Bullet; Blue Her point in healing is practical, and very basic.
Bullet; Green She carries a sword and shield on her out of habit more than necessity.
Bullet; Blue Her shrine and home is located in Ruby, on private land a decent distance away from a town close to the Sapphire-Ruby border and somewhat close to the Enhalo/Ruby border for ease of travel. The shrine itself-- A modest Ruby-styled building with a single-step height porch-- and the land it has been built on has been fenced securely, but not so much to draw attention to it. It's home to her, her demonic pets, and Quill and her pets as well, which means that there are accommodations (likely not very well crafted, mind you, but they're functional enough) on site for them.
